Steelmade Surf and Turf Protein Bowl

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. steak of your choice
  • 16 oz. shrimp
  • 4 cups white rice
  • red bell pepper
  • yellow bell pepper
  • yellow onion
  • cilantro 


  1. Begin by pre-heating the Flat Top by turning the burners to medium-low heat and allow 10-15 minutes for proper heating. 
  2. As the Flat Top heats, chop the peppers, onion, and cilantro. Peel the shrimp and cube the steak. Begin boiling 8 cups of water on a hot plate for the rice.
  3. Begin the recipe by adding the peppers and onion to the griddle and cook until softened. Add the rice to the boiling water.
  4. When the vegetables begin to soften and change color, add the steak to the Flat Top. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Cook to your desired level of rarity. Check on the rice. 
  5. If the vegetables are done, remove and plate to the side. When the steak is almost done, add the shrimp to an exposed area of the griddle. Season with Old Bay seasoning and flip occasionally. Cook until the shrimp is cooked through. 
  6. Plate a bed of rice, followed by the vegetables and protein. Garnish with the cilantro and dig in!
