Chicken Parmesan on the Steelmade Flat Top

You’ve had chicken parmesan—but not like this. Cooking it on the Steelmade Flat Top gives you that perfect crispy crust, golden sear, and gooey cheese melt—all without ever turning on the oven. It’s fast, satisfying, and just plain fun.

Whether you’re feeding the family or showing off your flat top skills, this recipe will have everyone asking for seconds.


🛒 Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 cup flour

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1½ cups Italian-style breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1½ tablespoons Italian seasoning

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Oil or butter for cooking

For the Toppings:

  • 1½ cups marinara or pasta sauce

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Fresh chopped parsley or basil (optional)


🔥 Directions

1. Prep the Chicken

Pound chicken breasts to even thickness if needed.
Season with salt and pepper.

Set up a dredging station:

  • Plate 1: Flour

  • Plate 2: Beaten eggs

  • Plate 3: Breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan and Italian seasoning

Coat each piece in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture.


2. Heat the Flat Top

Preheat your Steelmade Flat Top to medium-high heat.
Add a thin layer of oil or butter to coat the surface.


3. Cook the Chicken

Place breaded chicken on the hot flat top.
Cook for about 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temp: 165°F). Add a bit more oil if needed for an even crisp.


4. Add Sauce & Cheese

Once the chicken is cooked, spoon warm marinara over each piece and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella.

Close the grill lid (if using) or tent with foil for 1–2 minutes to melt the cheese.


5. Finish & Serve

Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve hot!

Pair with pasta, garlic bread, or a fresh green salad. This dish is comfort food perfection—crispy, saucy, cheesy, and packed with flavor.
