The Steelmade brand grew out of my own kitchen. I'm a married mother of two beautiful kids with a third on the way. I grew up in a large family with 7 siblings where the dinner table was the center of our world. Family, faith, and food have always been important to me and I love making meals that everyone can enjoy. Over the years I felt like the routine of the daily grind was turning my kitchen into the movie "Groundhog Day" with the same food being served meal after meal. I was tired and bored and before you knew it we were getting take-out way too often. One morning while making breakfast I became really frustrated with making one pancake at a time and wished out loud for a giant pan. My husband came home with a large, flat piece of steel for me to try and I loved it. I cooked on that for over a year before we decided to make something more refined. We sat down at our kitchen table until we had finalized the Flat Top design. We partnered with a local manufacturer to bring you a product we are very proud of. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
