Garlic Aioli Butter Burger


Time to say goodbye to boring burgers - this monster of a meal is drenched in flavorful compound butter, and topped with garlic aioli. In this recipe we will teach you how to make a restaurant quality burger at home. For next level ease, and premium quality, make this recipe on your Steelmade Flat Top.

Ingredients


(serves four)
  • Compound butter (see below)
      • 1 lb unsalted butter, softened
      • 1 1/2 tsp fresh parsley, minced
      • 1 1/2 tsp fresh basil, minced
      • 1 pinch cayenne pepper (to taste)
      • 2 large cloves or garlic, minced
      • 1 pinch salt (to taste)
      • 1 pinch pepper (to taste)
  • Roasted Garlic Aioli (see below)
      • 1 cup mayonnaise
      • 1 tbs fresh lime juice
      • 1 tsp paprika
      • 1/4 tsp cayenne
      • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
      • 6 cloves roasted garlic
  •  2 lbs fresh ground beef
  •  4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 large potato bunds

Directions

  1. To make compound butter stir together all ingredients until well combined. Spoon the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap into a 6 inch long log. Fold the plastic wrap over the mixture to enclose it, and roll to form a 2 1/2 inch diameter log. Chill until firm.
  2. Next up is the garlic aioli. Blend the mayo, lime juice, paprika, cayenne, cumin, and garlic in a food processor until smooth.
  3. Form the ground beef into 4 patties, creating a well for the butter. Stuff a slice of the compound butter inside each burger & enclose the patties. Season well with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat Steelmade Flat Top to medium-high heat. Add 4 slices of compound butter & heat until frothy.
  5. Place burgers on flat top and allow the beef to brown and butter to melt. Smash burgers & flip. 
  6. Add one more slice of butter to each burger and allow to melt. (optional)
  7. Add cheddar cheese to burgers and melt.
  8. Toast potato buns until golden, remove from heat, and spread aioli on top bun.
  9. Once burgers are cooked, remove from heat, and construct with whatever toppings you prefer!
  10. Enjoy!
