Chicken Lo Mein

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. lo mein noodles 
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced into strips 
  • matchstick carrots 
  • 1 red pepper, sliced thin 
  • 1/2 onion, sliced thin 
  • 3 green onions, diced 
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic, minced 
  • 1 Tbsp. ground ginger 
  • oil for cooking 
  • salt & pepper to taste 
Sauce 
  •  1/2 c. chicken broth 
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce 
  • 1/2 tsp. sriracha 
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil 
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch 
  • 3 Tbsp. honey

Directions



  1. Pre-heat the Flat Top by turning the burners to medium-low heat and allow 10-15 minutes for proper heating. 
  2. Prepare the lo mein noodles as directed on the box using a hot plate or an open burner. Drain and cover. Set aside for later. 
  3. While the Flat Top is preheating, go ahead and slice up your pepper and onion and combine with the carrots in a bowl. Set aside. 
  4. Mix up the sauce in a small bowl and set aside. 
  5. Slice the chicken into thin strips and add to the heated Flat Top on one side and the sliced veggies to the other side. 
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste. 
  7. Allow the chicken and veggies to cook, stirring around often until the chicken is cooked through. 
  8. Once the chicken is cooked, mix together the chicken and veggies and add the garlic and ginger, allowing to cook for an additional 2 minutes or until the garlic is fragrant. 
  9. Add the noodles and green onions, stirring and bringing everything to the center of the Flat Top. 
  10. Add the sauce and mix until combined. 
  11. Serve immediately.
