Steelmade Street Tacos

Street tacos made on a Steelmade flat top feature perfectly seared meats and vegetables, offering a crispy, flavorful bite wrapped in a warm tortilla.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. skirt steak
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 limes, divided
  • 2 Tbsp. canola oil, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced & divided
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 12 street taco tortillas
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/2 c. fresh cilantro, chopped

Directions



  1. In a zipper bag, combine soy sauce, 2 Tbsp. lime juice, 1 Tbsp. Canola Oil, 1 1/2 cloves garlic, chilli powder, cumin, and oregano.
  2. Cut steak into 1/2" slices and add to the bag and let marinate in the refrigerator for 1-4 hours.
  3. Preheat the Flat Top by turning the burners to medium-low heat and allow 10-15 minutes for heating.
  4. Once the Flat Top is heated, add the remaining canola oil and begin cooking the steak, stirring occasionally.
  5. As the steak cooks, dice the onion, chop the cilantro, and wedge one lime.
  6. Slide the steak to one side and add the tortillas.
  7. Once the tortillas are warm, assemble the street tacos with the steak, onion, and cilantro. Serve with a lime wedge and enjoy!
