Steelmade Seared Steak

Cooking a steak on the Steelmade flat top transforms a simple cut of meat into a restaurant-quality dish, achieving a perfect sear and tender, juicy interior with ease.

Ingredients

  • your favorite cut of steak 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • rosemary
  • olive oil

Directions



  1. allow your steak to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. Salt all sides generously and add pepper. 
  2. Begin by pre-heating the Flat Top by turning the burners to medium-low heat and allow 10-15 minutes for proper heating. 
  3. As the Flat Top heats, mince the garlic.
  4. When the Flat Top is heated, begin by pouring 3 tbsp of olive oil onto the Flat Top and let it heat up for a few minutes. 
  5. Place your steak onto the flat top and let it sear for 2 minutes.
  6. After 2 minutes, flip the steak. Once it has been flipped, add the butter, garlic, and rosemary. Using a spoon, spoon the butter and garlic onto the steak to retain moisture and flavor. Let it cook for 4 minutes on this side.
  7. Once the time is up, plate your steak and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  8. When the steak is done resting, slice your steak and enjoy!
