Turn the burners to medium-low and allow the Flat Top to heat for approximately 15 minutes.
As the Flat Top heats, cut and juice 1/2 the lemon, mince the garlic, and chop the parsley, if using.
When ready, add the butter to the Flat Top, along with the garlic. Cook 1 -2 minutes, or until fragrant.
Add the scallops. Pour the lemon juice over them and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cook each side for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove cooked scallops and squeeze the remaining 1/2 lemon over them. Garnish with parsley, if desired, and enjoy!
