Steelmade Chicken Fried Rice

Chicken fried rice cooked on a Steelmade flat top delivers tender, flavorful chicken and crisp vegetables, all perfectly mixed with seasoned rice for a delicious, restaurant-quality dish.

Ingredients

  • 3 c. rice, cooked 
  • 1 Tbsp. canola oil, divided
  • 1 Tbsp. toasted sesame oil, divided
  • 1 lb. chicken breast, diced
  • 1/2 c. frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions



  1. Cook rice according to package directions and set aside.
  2. Preheat the Flat Top for 10-15 minutes on medium-low heat. 
  3. Add 1 1/2 tsp. sesame oil and 1 1/2 tsp. canola oil to the Flat Top and allow to heat for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. When the Flat Top and oils are heated, add the diced chicken breast and season with salt and pepper. Stir until it is cooked through, about 5-6 minutes, then move to the side.
  5. Add the remaining 1 1/2 tsp of sesame and canola oils to the Flat Top. Place the thawed vegetable mixture and green onions on the Flat Top and sauté for 3-5 minutes.
  6. Add in the garlic and sauté for another minute.
  7. Make an opening in the middle of the vegetables and crack the eggs onto the exposed Flat Top and scramble.
  8. When the eggs are about done, add in the chicken and rice. Mix everything together and add the soy sauce. Mix again and season with additional salt and pepper, if desired. Plate and enjoy!
