Firebee Spicy Honey Soy Glazed Salmon

FIREBEE SPICY HONEY SOY GLAZED SALMON


This Firebee Spicy Honey soy glazed salmon is the perfect 20-minute meal. Don't let the simple ingredients fool you, this salmon is packed with asian-inspired flavor. This meal is quick enough for a busy weeknight, but delicious enough for a date-night-in!

Ingredients


(serves two)
  • 12 oz skinless salmon
  • ~10 baby potatoes, halfed
  • ~1 handful asparagus (or any veggie of your choice)
  • 1 tbs olive oil or 1/2 cup compound butter (see below)
      • 1 lb unsalted butter, softened
      • 1 1/2 tsp fresh parsley, minced
      • 1 1/2 tsp fresh basil, minced
      • 1 pinch cayenne pepper (to taste)
      • 2 large cloves or garlic, minced
      • 1 pinch salt (to taste)
      • 1 pinch pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tbs salt
  • 1 tbs pepper
  • 1 tbs paprika
  • Firebee Spicy Honey marinade (see below)
      • 4 cloves garlic, minced
      • 2 tsp ginger, minced
      • 1 tbs olive oil
      • 1/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
      • 1/3 cup Firebee Spicy Honey
  • Firebee Spicy Honey Soy Glaze (see below)
      • 1/4 cup Firebee Spicy Honey
      • 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce

Directions

  1. To make compound butter stir together all ingredients until well combined. Spoon the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap into a 6 in long log. Fold the plastic wrap over the mixture to enclose it, and roll to form a 2 1/2 in diameter log. Chill until firm.
  2. In a small bowl mix marinade ingredients until well combined.
  3. Place salmon in a large, ziplock bag and pour the marinade over the salmon. Let marinade in fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat Steelmade Flat Top over medium-high heat. Once hot, add compound butter (or oil) and allow to heat.
  5. Add asparagus & potatoes to Flat Top. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until golden & tender.
  6. Remove salmon from marinade and add to Flat Top. Discard used marinade.
  7. Cook salmon on one side for 3-4 minutes, then flip. Cook other side for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  8. While salmon is cooking, combine ingredients for the honey soy glaze and mix until well combined.
  9. Remove salmon and immediately  glaze with honey soy glaze. Serve with your veggies!
  10. Enjoy!
